Pam Byrd, Co- Owner and Director of Fever Productions, began her dance career over 40 years ago.  She opened her very first studio in Dallas, NC in 1985 called Carolina School of Dance.  The success of her studio began to grow, and she then opened a second studio in Gastonia, NC.  Pam also went on to open a third studio in Kings Mountain, NC, as well as teach classes in many other local towns.  While owning two studios at a time, and Coaching High School Cheerleading, Pam also found a way to make time to host one Cheerleading Competition every year for teams in Gaston County and the surrounding areas, called Greater Gaston Cheer-Off.  After educating thousands of students for 25 years, and surviving breast cancer, Pam decided to pass the ropes down to her daughter Katelyn , who had just graduated from high school.  Pam decided to start a new venture, and keep her passion and love for dance alive in a different way.  Katelyn opened her studio Fever Dance Productions in 2010 and Pam, along with her brother Keith Fox and friend Gary Ward started FEVER PRODUCTIONS in the same year!  Pam still kept her original competition going, and in 2010 Greater Gaston Cheer-Off celebrated its 11th Year (was also its largest yet)!  Each year, Fever Productions will not only continue the legacy of the Greater Gaston Cheer-Off but will also provide numerous dance competitions and cheer competitions all over the Southeast!  We are a family business, with Pam's daughter Katelyn as Event Coordinator and Director, and all of our employess are family members or lifelong friends of ours.  You can always guarantee that the faces you see at every competition are known well to us, and are not just hired employees.  We  strive to make even the teachers, coaches, dancers and cheerleaders feel like part of our family.  Most of our  studios and teams come back time and time again to compete at our events and are very great friends of ours.
